SSC CHSL Vacancy 2026
SSC has initially reported approximately 2,536 vacancies. These are tentative, and the final number may change after the concerned departments complete their vacancy-related process. The recruitment covers the following posts:

SSC CHSL Recruitment 2026 – Educational Qualification
For LDC/JSA and DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’, candidates must have passed 12th Standard or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
There is one important exception. For DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ posts in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, SSC and Ministry of Culture, candidates must have passed 12th in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject.

Age Limit
The age will be calculated as on 1 August 2026. The normal age limit is 18 to 27 years. Candidates should have been born between 2 August 1999 and 1 August 2008, both dates inclusive.
Age relaxation is available as per Government of India rules. For example, SC/ST candidates get 5 years and OBC candidates get 3 years of upper-age relaxation. Additional relaxations are applicable to PwBD, ESM and certain other eligible categories.

SSC CHSL Selection Process 2026
The recruitment will be carried out through Tier-I and Tier-II examinations.
