The HP High Court Clerk Syllabus 2026 is designed to check a candidate’s general awareness, computer knowledge, reasoning ability, language skills and typing proficiency. The recruitment process for the post of Clerk in the District Judiciary consists of a Screening Test, Written Examination and Typing Test.

HP High Court Clerk Exam Pattern 2026

The selection process is conducted in three stages:

• Screening Test – 100 Marks
• Written Examination – 80 Marks
• Typing Test – Qualifying

Candidates who qualify the screening stage in the prescribed ratio are called for the written examination and typing test.

HP High Court Clerk Screening Test Syllabus

The Screening Test carries 100 marks and consists of objective-type questions. Each question carries one mark and has four choices.

HP High Court Clerk Typing Test

The typing test is the final stage of the selection process and is conducted on a computer.

Typing Mistake Limit

The complete selection process can be understood as follows:

The Screening Test is primarily used for shortlisting candidates. Candidates qualifying the screening examination are called for the written examination and typing test in the prescribed 1:5 ratio, meaning up to five candidates against one advertised vacancy.
