IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Trade-Wise Details
The apprenticeship engagement is available in the following trades:
- Technician Apprentice (Mechanical)
- Technician Apprentice (Electrical)

Educational Qualification
Candidates must fulfil the following educational qualification requirements:

Important Qualification Conditions:
- Diploma and Graduation qualifications must be from recognized institutions/universities and completed through regular full-time courses.
- Graduate/Diploma candidates generally need at least 50% aggregate marks.
- For SC/ST and PwBD candidates against reserved positions, the minimum marks requirement is 45%.
- Part-time, correspondence and distance education qualifications are not eligible.
- Candidates possessing higher professional qualifications such as BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB or MCA are not eligible.
- The prescribed qualification must have been completed on or before 30 November 2026.
Age Limit
The age limit for IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is:
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 24 Years
The age will be calculated as on 30 November 2026.

Stipend
Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and Apprentices Rules 1992/2019, as amended from time to time, along with the Corporation’s guidelines.
Note: The notification does not specify a fixed monthly stipend amount.
Apprenticeship Training Duration
The duration of apprenticeship training will be 12 months from the date of engagement.
Selection Process
The selection of candidates for IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 will be based on merit.
The selection process includes:
- Preparation of a Panel-cum-Merit List.
- Merit will be prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualifying examination.
- Document Verification.
- Medical Fitness Examination.
No Written Examination or Personal Interview will be conducted.
In case of a tie in merit, preference will be given to the older candidate. If the date of birth is also the same, the candidate with higher Matriculation marks will be considered.

- Step 2: After registration, candidates must log in to the respective NAPS/NATS portal.
- Step 3: Search for the Indian Oil Corporation Limited apprenticeship opportunities using the relevant regional Establishment ID.
- Step 4: Apply for the relevant apprenticeship opening through the NAPS/NATS portal.
- Step 5: After completing the NAPS/NATS application, visit the official Indian Oil Pipelines application portal:
- Step 6: Complete Part-I registration by entering basic details and creating a password.
- Step 7: Log in using the registration number and password received after Part-I registration.
- Step 8: Complete Part-II registration by entering educational and other details and uploading the required photograph and signature.
- Step 9: Review all the information carefully and submit the final application form.
- Step 10: Download or print the submitted application form for future reference.
Important: Candidates must first apply through the respective NAPS/NATS portal and then complete the application on the Indian Oil Pipelines portal. Both steps are compulsory.
