The HP High Court Process Server Syllabus 2026 includes a Screening Test, Written Test and Evaluation. Candidates preparing for the Process Server post should understand the complete examination scheme, marks distribution and subjects before starting their preparation.

The complete selection scheme is divided into 100 marks, consisting of 50 marks for the Screening Test, 40 marks for the Written Test and 10 marks for Evaluation.

1. HP High Court Process Server Screening Test

The Screening Test carries a total of 50 marks and is conducted for 1 hour.

The Screening Test is conducted in both English and Hindi and consists of MCQ-type questions. Each question carries one mark and contains four choices. Candidates have to mark the correct answer on the OMR answer sheet or through any other mode specified in the question paper/OMR sheet.

Screening Test Syllabus

The Screening Test covers the following subjects:

  • Mathematics
  • General Science
  • English
  • Hindi
  • Reasoning
  • General Knowledge

The questions in Mathematics, General Science, English, Hindi and Reasoning are based on the +2 Standard, along with General Knowledge.

Shortlisting for Written Examination

The OMR sheets containing the answers to the MCQ-type questions are evaluated through the electronic mode.

Candidates qualifying the Screening Test are called for the Written Examination as per the prescribed ratio of 1:5, which means five candidates against one advertised vacancy.

2. HP High Court Process Server Written Test

The Written Test carries 40 marks and is conducted for a duration of 1 hour.

The Written Test consists of Hindi Essay Writing and Application/Letter Writing in English.

Hindi Essay Writing – 25 Marks

Candidates have to write an essay in Hindi on one topic out of three topics.

The essay is to be written in approximately 250 words.

Candidates should focus on proper presentation, language and legible handwriting while attempting this section.

Application/Letter Writing in English – 15 Marks

Candidates have to write an Application/Letter in English in approximately 100 words.

The written examination gives importance to the candidate’s writing ability and presentation.

3. HP High Court Process Server Evaluation

The Evaluation carries a total of 10 marks.

Marks for Educational Qualification

The evaluation scheme provides marks for educational qualification as follows:

A candidate gets 0.5 mark for complete six months of experience. No mark is awarded for a period of experience of less than six months.

Final Merit for HP High Court Process Server

The final merit list is prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the Written Test and Evaluation.

The practical experience of working in Government/Semi-Government relating to the post or an equivalent post is taken into consideration only when the experience certificate is produced in original at the time of evaluation and the same experience is mentioned in the application submitted by the candidate.
