IOCL Apprentices Recruitment 2026: Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Marketing Division, Western Region has released a notification for engagement of Trade, Technician and Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The notification has been released through Advertisement No. IOCL/MKTG/WR/APPR/2026-27 dated 05 October 2026.

Eligible candidates can apply online through the NAPS/NATS portals for apprenticeship opportunities in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.

Educational Qualification

Technician Apprentice

Candidates must have a 3-year regular full-time Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognized Institute/University.

The minimum marks required are 50% for General, EWS and OBC-NCL candidates and 45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates for reserved positions.

Trade Apprentice

For Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic and Machinist, candidates must have passed Matriculation along with a regular full-time 2-year ITI course in the relevant trade recognized by NCVT/SCVT.

Graduate Apprentice

Candidates must have a regular full-time Graduate degree in BA/B.Com/B.Sc/BBA with minimum 50% marks for General, EWS and OBC-NCL candidates and 45% marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates for reserved positions.

Data Entry Operator

For Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Fresher), candidates must have passed Class 12th but should be below graduate level, with minimum 50% marks for General, EWS and OBC-NCL candidates and 45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates for reserved positions.

For Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holders), candidates must additionally possess a Skill Certificate of Domestic Data Entry Operator for training of less than one year issued by an awarding body recognized under the National Skill Qualifications Framework or another authority recognized by the Central Government.

Important Qualification Conditions

The qualification must have been obtained through a full-time regular course. Candidates who obtained the qualification through part-time, correspondence or distance learning mode are not eligible.

For Graduate and Technician disciplines, candidates must have acquired the prescribed qualification between 01 April 2023 and 30 September 2026.

For Trade Apprentices and Data Entry Operator positions, candidates must have acquired the prescribed qualification between 01 April 2022 and 30 September 2026.

Candidates possessing higher professional qualifications such as B.E./B.Tech., MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA, LLB or equivalent qualifications, or candidates pursuing higher qualifications and completing them before joining the apprenticeship, are not eligible.

Age Limit

The candidate’s age should be:

Minimum Age: 18 Years
Maximum Age: 24 Years

The age will be calculated as on 30 September 2026.

Age Relaxation

SC/ST – 5 years
OBC-NCL – 3 years
PwBD – up to 10 years
PwBD SC/ST – up to 15 years
PwBD OBC-NCL – up to 13 years

The relaxation will be applicable as specified in the notification for the relevant reserved positions.

Apprenticeship Training Period

The period of apprenticeship training will be 12 months.

Stipend

The rate of stipend payable to apprentices per month will be as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and applicable Apprentices Rules, as amended from time to time.

Selection Process

The selection process for IOCL Apprentices Recruitment 2026 will be based on merit.

There will be no written examination and no interview.

Candidates who successfully register on the NAPS/NATS portal and apply against the notified opportunity will be considered for the selection process.

A merit list will be prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed essential qualification for the respective discipline.
