AFCAT 1/2024 Notification : The Indian Air Force (IAF) has recently issued a notification, Advt. No. AFCAT 1/2024, announcing the recruitment of 317 Flying Officer (AFCAT) positions. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications online for the AFCAT 1 2024 through the official website, afcat.cdac.in, starting from 1st December 2023. AFCAT 1/2024 Notification
Indian Air Force invites Indian citizens (Men and Women) to be part of this elite force as Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. Online AFCAT examination will be conducted on 16 Feb 24, 17 Feb 24 and 18 Feb 24 (tentatively).

Education Qualifications

| Flying Branch | Candidates must have at least 50% in each subject, Physics and Mathematics, at the 10+2 level. They must also have a three-year graduate degree or a BE/BTech degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 60%. |

Age Limit
The age limit for the AFCAT Entry 2023 is 20-24 Years on 1 January 2025 (born between 2 January 2001 to 1 January 2005) for the Flying Branch and 20-26 Years (born between 2 January 1999 to 1 January 2005) for the Ground Duty (Technical/ Non-Technical Branches). Both dates will be inclusive.

The online application for the AFCAT 2 2023 starts from 1 December 2023. The last date to apply is 30 December 2023. The AFCAT 1 2024 course will commence in January 2025.

Air Force AFCAT 1/2024 Selection Process
The AFCAT 1/2024 examination selection process comprises of a Written Exam, which is then followed by the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB). The AFSB will conduct the document verification and medical examination for all the candidates.
