HP JBT Teacher Recruitment 2026 – Educational Qualification
The applicant must possess the minimum educational and professional qualifications prescribed for the post of Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) under the Recruitment & Promotion (R&P) Rules dated 19.02.2025 and the norms issued by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) from time to time.
In addition, the candidate must have qualified the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE), Dharamshala, or any other agency authorized by the Government.
Incomplete or unclear applications will not be accepted by the department. The date of the interview will be communicated to eligible candidates through the department’s official website, call letters, and newspapers.

- Matriculation & 10+2 Certificates.
- JBT/D.E1.Ed.re.El.Ed./Special Education detailed marks sheet.
- Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) issued by InsssB Hamirpur or HPBOSE Dharamshala.
- Certiflcate ofadditional qualification if any.
- Bonafide Himachali Certificate.
- Parental Caste Certificate (In case of SC/ST/OBC).
- Permanent Physically Handicapped Category Certificate/Card.
- Character Certificate issued by the concerned SDO(C)/Tehsildar/Naib Tehsildar.
- Notified Backward Area or Panchayat. (If applicable.)
- Landless family/family having land less than 1 Hectare to be certified by the concerned Revenue Authority. (If applicable.)
- Non Employment Certiflcate to the effect that none of the family member is in Govt./Semi. Govt. (If applicable.)
- BPL Certificate and Income Certificate issued by the competent authority certifying that the annual family income from all sources is below €50,000/- or as prescribed by the Government from time to time. (If applicable.)
- Widow/Divorced/Destitute/Single Woman. (If applicable)
- Single daughter / Orphan. (If applicable)
- Training at least 6 months related to the post applied for from a recognized University/Institution. (Apart from regular course) (If applicable).
- Experience up to a maximum of 5 Years in Govt./Semi Govt. organization relating to the post of applied for (0.4 marks only for each completed year in case Class-III posts). (If applicable.)
