The Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) has published the official syllabus and exam pattern for the Workman Trainee recruitment exam. SJVN Workman Trainee Selection Process
For Workman Trainee (Electrician) / (Fitter) / (Turner) / (Welder) / (Storekeeper) / (Surveyor) –
- a) Selection process will consist of Computer Based Test.
- b) The minimum qualifying marks in CBT shall be 50% (50 Marks) for UR/EWS/Others; and 40% (40 Marks) for the reserved category candidates (SC/ST/ PwBD / OBC (NCL) wherever the vacancy is reserved for that respective category.
- c) On the basis of merit of Computer Based Test (CBT), candidates will be provisionally shortlisted for Document Verification in the ratio of 1:3 (maximum) for each post or as per the criteria decided by the Management.
For Workman Trainee Assistant (Accounts)/ (Driver)/ (Assistant)-
- a) Selection process will involve Computer Based Test (CBT) and Trade Test.
- b) The minimum qualifying marks in CBT shall be 50% (50 Marks) for UR/EWS/Others; and 40% (40 Marks) for the reserved category candidates (SC/ST/ PwBD / OBC (NCL) wherever the vacancy is reserved for that respective category.
- c) On the basis of merit of Computer Based Test (CBT), candidates will be provisionally shortlisted for Trade Test & Document Verification in the ratio of 1:3 (maximum) for each post or as per the criteria decided by the Management.
- d) Trade Test:
- i) The Trade Test will be of qualifying nature only. Trade Test marks shall not carry any weightage in final merit.
- ii) The qualifying marks for Trade Test will be 50% for UR/EWS/Others; and 40% for the reserved category candidates (SC/ST/ PwBD / OBC (NCL) wherever the vacancy is reserved for that respective category.
- iii) For the post of Assistant Trainee, the candidate who passes one of the proficiency tests (Hindi or English) and fails the other proficiency test (Hindi or English) will be considered for further selection process.
